ABOUT VERITY
Verity is a psychological horror game where exploration, increasingly unsettling conversations, and player choices shape a disturbing story across 12 chapters. The opening feels unexpectedly comfortable as you gather resources, explore forests, mine, and build a home with your companion, but that calm begins to unravel when his questions become increasingly personal. Familiar outdoor locations eventually give way to darker mines, portals, and maze-like Backrooms spaces, reflecting the increasingly uncomfortable direction of the story. Progress centers on following conversations, examining suspicious details, discovering clues and secret content, and deciding how to respond during important encounters. Choices such as approaching, questioning, trusting, or avoiding your companion can influence how events develop, while earlier conversations gain greater significance as the relationship becomes more troubling. Multiple endings give those decisions lasting consequences and provide reasons to explore alternative paths after completing one route. Pay attention to every suspicious question, uncover what is hidden behind the changing environments, and decide how much trust this strange companion really deserves!

Verity - A choice-driven psychological horror game
GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW
Watch a Cozy Adventure Turn Unsettling
Verity initially frames your companion relationship around ordinary activities such as gathering materials, exploring, mining, and building before gradually disrupting that familiar atmosphere. As the chapters continue, increasingly intrusive questions make conversations themselves part of the psychological horror, while the environments shift away from comfortable outdoor areas. The 12-chapter story includes First Meeting, The House in the Meadow, Knows Too Much, Verity’s Questions, The Mine with Verity, Exit the Game, The Portal, and The Maze. Later sections move through darker locations such as mines, portals, and repetitive yellow Backrooms-style corridors, creating a sharp contrast with the calmer beginning.
Let Conversations Shape the Story
Dialogue requires more than simply advancing through text because choices can affect how events unfold and contribute to different paths through the narrative. Approaching, questioning, trusting, or avoiding your companion can carry greater meaning as his behavior becomes more intrusive and the situation grows stranger. Reading questions carefully and considering each response can therefore reveal more about what is happening rather than treating conversations as something to rush through. Since the story has multiple endings, alternative decisions provide different possibilities when replaying the experience.
Search for Clues Behind the Strange Events
Careful observation matters alongside dialogue choices, with clues, unusual details, secret scenes, and other hidden content rewarding attention throughout the story. Environmental changes also provide context as forests and mines eventually lead toward portals and maze-like spaces while the narrative becomes increasingly unstable. Suspicious details can help reveal more of the story, making exploration and careful reading important parts of uncovering the truth. Together, discoveries and decisions contribute to the route you follow and the ending you ultimately reach.
