ABOUT MOPE.IO
Mope.io is an evolution-based multiplayer survival game where you begin as a small animal, gather food for XP, and evolve into increasingly powerful creatures while navigating a changing food chain. Your starting animal depends on the chosen Land, Ocean, Arctic, or Lava biome, with examples including a mouse or shrimp. Food ranges from colored blobs and berries to smaller animals, while creatures marked with red outlines are predators capable of eating you. Filling the XP bar leads to stronger evolutionary stages, and different animals can have abilities such as burrowing, flying, or freezing that provide additional ways to survive. Biomes contain different organisms and survival conditions, making the surrounding environment another consideration as you develop. Movement, boosting, feeding, predator avoidance, and learning each animal's abilities all contribute to staying alive and continuing through the evolutionary progression. Gather enough XP to keep evolving, use each creature's abilities effectively, and work your way from vulnerable prey toward the most powerful animals!

GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW
Eat Your Way Up the Food Chain
Mope.io begins with a small animal that needs food to fill its XP bar and reach the next evolutionary stage. Moving across colored blobs, berries, and animals smaller than you provides opportunities to feed, while red-outlined creatures represent predators that can consume you. This creates a constant balance between searching for XP and recognizing threats before getting too close. Reaching new stages turns your current creature into stronger animals and continues the survival cycle.
Adapt to Different Biomes and Abilities
Land, Ocean, Arctic, and Lava provide different starting biomes, each containing its own organisms and ways to survive. Evolution can also introduce abilities that change what your animal can do, with some creatures able to burrow, others capable of flying, and some able to freeze. Stronger animals may also gain the ability to traverse other terrain as they develop. Learning how these abilities work can help extend survival while you continue gathering XP.
Balance Speed, Resources, and Survival
Boosting provides another movement option, but using it consumes water or energy, so it carries a resource cost during the survival process. Predators and prey occupy the same environment, meaning your position in the food chain can change as you evolve. Smaller animals become possible food sources, while stronger creatures remain threats that should be avoided. These interactions connect growth and survival, requiring you to keep feeding without becoming another animal's meal.
