PokéPath TD – Strategic Tower Defense Path Game

Gameplay Overview

Core Gameplay Loop

Each session starts by selecting a route map, where enemies advance along fixed paths toward the endpoint. Players deploy Pokémon units on valid tiles to stop incoming waves. Each wave increases in difficulty, introducing stronger enemies and new traits.

Defeating enemies grants gold, which is used to purchase additional Pokémon or upgrade existing ones. Pokémon can be leveled up and evolved to improve their stats and abilities. Progress is saved automatically, allowing players to switch routes freely without losing advancement on other paths.

An optional Auto Mode enables the game to continue running with minimal input, supporting long farming sessions across repeated waves.

Player Interaction

Players interact with the game primarily through unit placement and strategic decision-making. This includes choosing which Pokémon to deploy, deciding when to evolve them, managing gold economy, and adjusting team composition based on enemy traits such as armor, speed, or special effects. Route switching allows players to adapt progression order without resetting overall progress.

Controls Guide

  • Mouse Click: Select, place, and interact with Pokémon units
  • UI Buttons: Start waves, enable Auto Mode, open Shop and Pokédex
  • Menu Navigation: Switch routes, manage storage, view stats and progress

Controls are fully mouse-driven and designed for idle and active play styles.

Game Objective

The primary objective in PokéPath TD is to successfully defend all available routes against increasingly powerful enemy waves. Players aim to complete every path, strengthen their Pokémon through upgrades and evolution, and ultimately defeat Legendary Pokémon encounters. Each wave ends when all enemies are defeated or when enemies reach the endpoint, after which the next wave or route can be attempted.
